For several weeks, now, Katy and I have been hoping to knock off another 4000 foot mountain in our goal of hiking all of New Hampshire’s 4000 footers. With winter closing in, there aren’t too many weekends left before we would likely be hiking on a snow covered trail. With the recent unseasonably warm temperatures [...]

Adieu Reading Rainbow
I caught a glimpse of this headline the other day: Reading Rainbow Reaches Its Final Chapter. Wow! I had no idea that show was still airing. Not only that, but LeVar Burton was still the host! I remember watching Reading Rainbow when I was in first grade and getting a huge kick out of it [...]
Marathon Monday
I may play a lot of ultimate these days, but given a choice between competitive Track and Field and competitive Ultimate Frisbee, I would pick track every time. Four years on the track team at RPI when they also had a great ultimate club team is proof of that. Despite that focus on running, though, [...]
Prize Winning Opportunity
Katy’s running the Boston Marathon again this year, and raising money for the Jimmy Fund in the process. Today’s campaign is a one-day, April 2nd only opportunity to win 100 Grand. Don’t miss out!
Commute Rant
Ok. So I don’t usually post an entry on here to complain about trivial matters, but something happened today on my commute to work that just seemed to strike a nerve. I thought maybe if I write a post about it, then it would stop bugging me. Every morning, when leaving to go to work, [...]
Ultimate Showcase Series
Today Katy and I went to see The Ultimate Showcase Series championship games at Dilboy stadium in Somerville. The event is a series of games put on by BUDA over a month long period featuring elite level ultimate players from the Boston area. Every player in the showcase has competed at either Collegiate Nationals, US [...]
Marathon Champion!
I would like to take this post to congratulate Katy for an absolutely awesome accomplishment, finishing the Boston Marathon in 5:30:42! Raising money for cancer research and also battling (and defeating) multiple injuries along the way during her training, it was no small feat.
New Job!
I initiated the process weeks ago, but yesterday it finally became official: I’m starting a new job in two weeks! It’s been quite the experience working for the X64 Systems group at Sun Microsystems for the past two and half years, but I feel like I’ve reached a plateau in my current position, and that [...]
New Commitment
“If a tree falls in the forest, and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?” I started this blog (my third blog attempt in three years) about two months ago. I didn’t have many big plans for it, and I had no delusions about my potential to remain motivated in [...]
